A Witch's Trial
A witch's Trial was my final project at SAE Institute Melbourne, and was quite a challenge. Working in a team of 5, as a developer, project lead, graphic programmer and level designer, this game has been made on Unreal Engine 4 under 6 controlled months (deadlines and extra work added by the teacher).

The game itself is an adventure, where you play as a young witch finally coming to age to embrace the age of magic, and learn how to master it by herself in order to become a witch.
This project is a nest of personal handicaps I've put on my shoulders. Overall, I am happy that it is over, but I am not particularly proud of the project itself.

Working with Unreal Engine did help me see a whole new side of being a developer; since I had to learn how to use the engine from scratch. The main decision about the engine was taken because 3 members of the team already had used it for other projects, unlike Unity.

The narrative and graphics are restrained mostly by massive re-scoping of the game in order to make it to the deadline, and taught me that I have a lot to learn in time management, including taking over job not done by groupmates. Nevertheless, our 3D modeler and audio producer helped me not give up and push a valid prototype.

To conclude, even though this experience could've gone better than I wanted, I am happy I went through it and did my best as a developer. I have learned a lot and I have been recognized for the work I've done, and it's all what matters to me.
Lastly, I was honored to work with such a wonderful audio producer, who created tracks that pushed me to finish this work. I still listen to many even now, and I am grateful to have worked with him.
